Meseret Ansebo is the foundation’s global director for People and Culture (P&C). She leads the P&C team in supporting Ford’s workforce planning strategies, management coaching and advising, performance management, and employee relations, working across Ford’s 11 international offices.
Meseret brings over 20 years of experience in human resource management. Prior to joining Ford, she served as the chief people officer at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), where she restructured the organization’s global human resources (HR) function from traditional administrative focus into strategic business partnership. She guided the global HR team into alignment with IPA’s strategic direction, recruited and upskilled the HR team, and supported the organization’s teams in the United States and across 20 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. She also integrated Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, led management skills training, and introduced a dashboard to track and report important workforce metrics. Meseret served as a trusted partner to the senior management team and board on compensation, performance, employee relations, and major organizational change initiatives.
Before joining IPA, Meseret was vice president of HR with the Catholic Medical Mission Board, global HR director of the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, and HR director with Save the Children USA. She immigrated to the U.S. from Ethiopia in 2011.
Meseret holds a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from SUNY Empire State College.
