Junxi Lu is a program assistant in the foundation’s Beijing office, where she coordinates communication between the program and operations teams. She also provides administrative support to program officers and grantees, including compliance reviews and events that enhance grantmaking efforts. She joined the foundation in 2022.
Prior to Ford, Junxi worked as an artist and cultural producer in art and architecture. She showed works at the Venice Architecture Biennale in partnership with the US Pavilion in 2018 and the Seoul Hall of Urbanism and Architecture in 2019. She was also an archivist and curatorial officer at Neri&Hu Design and Research Office in Shanghai, where she worked with academic institutions to curate retrospective exhibitions on the firm’s responses to rapid urban growth and development in China.
Before this, Junxi worked as a program assistant at the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts in Chicago and the Art Institute of Chicago. In both roles, she supported a diverse range of cultural programs focused on art, design, and architecture and fostered idea exchange and collaboration in the arts and design communities.
Junxi holds a bachelor of fine arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a specialization in sculpture and visual critical studies.
