Josiah Vasquez is a program assistant with the Civic Engagement and Government International and Gender, Racial, and Ethnic Justice International programs.
Josiah (they/she) is a queer, non-binary, Puerto Rican, and Dominican artist-advocate. They have a background in musical theater and numerous credits in acting and dancing, including from Prospect Theatre Company, Arthur Aviles Typical Theatre, MBDance, and Youngtale. They also model professionally and have worked with major technology and beauty brands.
Before joining Ford, Josiah worked as an administrative assistant at BAAD! Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance, a small arts nonprofit founded and led by queer and trans people of color. Josiah’s long commitment to social justice causes includes affiliations with Black Lives Matter, Claim Our Space Now, LxNY: Latinx Arts Consortium of New York, and the National Association for Latino Arts and Culture.
Josiah received a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in drama and music.
